We are pleased to announce that the College of Sciences will initiate a formal College level early career faculty mentoring program this month.

The Ray P. Authement College of Sciences Early Career Faculty Mentoring Program will provide mentoring support to our early career tenure-track faculty through mentoring sessions, at the College and Departmental levels, to help them accomplish their goals. The main objective of this mentoring is to provide awareness about research, teaching, and service expectations from the faculty during their probationary period and, very importantly, the support and guidance available to the faculty across multiple offices within the University. Typically, we will host two College level mentoring sessions each semester. Mentoring sessions for early career faculty will vary at the departmental level. These Department level session will include, but are not limited to, individual sessions with department head and senior faculty, and yearly feedback from the department head.

The kick-off session will be held from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm on Wednesday, 20 September 2023 in Oliver Hall, room 101.
