You have financial options with your college planning, and we're here to help you find the best options for your situation.

Ideally, paying for your education is a long-term process of building and using a collection of savings, institutional aid, free money, and—if necessary—loans. However, there are many avenues for financing your education. Financial aid and scholarships can help the financial pressure.

College of Sciences Scholarships

The Ray P. Authement College of Sciences is proud to recognize outstanding students who demonstrate academic excellence, research involvement, leadership, and service within their disciplines. We offer a number of scholarships made possible through the generosity of our alumni, friends, and partners.

How to Apply

You may now apply for multiple college and departmental scholarships with a single submission through the College of Sciences Scholarship Application Form.

Please review the following information before accessing the application form.

If you have any questions, please contact the College of Sciences Scholarship Committee via email at sciences@louisiana.edu with subject line "College of Sciences Application", in person at 201 Oliver Hall, or by phone at 337-482-6986.

Eligibility

  1. You must be a declared major within the Ray P. Authement College of Sciences.
  2. You must be enrolled full-time (minimum 12 credit hours).
  3. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required, unless otherwise specified by the scholarship you are applying for.

Deadlines

  • Applications for Fall awards are due June 1.
  • Applications for Spring awards are due October 1.

Before accessing the from you will need the following:

  1. A current transcript (unofficial transcripts are acceptable.
  2. A short personal statement (300–500 words) describing your academic goals, research interests, and career aspirations.

Selection and Notification

A committee of faculty representatives from each department will review applications. If you are awarded a scholarship, you will be notified through your university email account.
