Karl Hasenstein of our Biology Department recently received a unique honor from the American Society of Plant Biology (ASPB) for his contributions to Plant Biology Education and Mentoring. This award was bestowed upon Karl Hasenstein by students and postdocs he has trained and by the American Society of Plant Biology. The award website indicates that "Pioneer Members of ASPB provided the education and research training for many members of our community, and in some cases the leadership of the Society and its journals." Karl certainly fits that description. To learn more about ASBP's pioneer program, and to look at testimonials for Karl, visit this ASPB webpage.
