The Ray P. Authement College of Sciences awarded 119 bachelor of science degrees, 1 honors bachelor of science degree, and 32 master of science degrees during the Spring 2016 College of Sciences commencement ceremony on Friday, 13 May 2016. Earlier in the day, at the Commencement General Assembly, 8 college of sciences students received doctor of philosophy degrees.

Two college of sciences students received special recognition at the general assembly.

Ashley Duhon, a biology major with a 4.0 GPA, was honored as the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Alumni Association's overall Outstanding Graduate. In addition to this honor, Ashley is the Spring 2016 Outstanding Graduate for the Ray P. Authement College of Sciences.

Tim Shane, the Outstanding Master's Graduate for the School of Geosciences, was honored as the Spring 2016 University of Louisiana at Lafayette Alumni Association's Outstanding Master’s Graduate.
