Faculty Spotlight: Li Chen
Li Chen, PhD, joined the School of Computing and Informatics at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette as an assistant professor in August 2018. She received her PhD and MASc from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Toronto, in 2018 and 2015, respectively. She received her BEngr degree from the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, in July 2012.
Dr. Chen has studied interesting research problems related to resource allocation and performance optimization in the era of cloud computing and big data, with the constraints of fairness. She is interested in applying theoretical tools to study real problems and deriving insights to guide the design of a practical system. Her current research interests include machine learning systems, big data analytics, cloud computing and datacenter networking.
