College of Sciences Researchers Honored with Awards!

In recognition of their significant contributions to the research, innovation, and scholarship mission of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette during 2023-2024 academic year, the Office of the Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Economic Development hosted a Research Recognition Ceremony on Friday, 14 March 2024, at the LITE center.
The College of Sciences was well represented this year with ten of our researchers being honored with awards!

An Research Excellence Award (Academic Year 2023-2024) was presented to Hayriye Gulbudak of our Mathematics Department.

An Outstanding Undergraduate Research Mentor Award (Academic Year 2023-2024) was presented to Jennifer Hargrave of our School of Geosciences.

Outstanding Achievement in Externally Funded Research Awards (Fiscal Year 2023-2024) were presented to Beth Stauffer of our Biology Department, Nian-Feng Tzeng of our Center for Advanced Computer Studies, Francois Villinger of our Biology Department, and Brent Yantis of the UL Lafayette/NASA Regional Application Center and our School of Geosciences.
