Biology PhD student Braden Doucet and retired biology instructor Phyllis Baudoin Griffard are featured in the recent AP News story "Extreme cold and snow across the South isn't a threat to most native plants and animals, experts say".

Braden works in The Kooyers Lab of Plant Adaptation and Evolution. His research focuses on local adaptation of cajun prairie grasses, population structure of cajun prairie grasses, and related topics. Braden is also an alumnus of our undergraduate biology program.
