The Department of Physics, Edith Garland Dupré Library, and Dining Services hosted an eclipse party in the Quad for UL Lafayette students, faculty, and staff. Dr. William A. Hollerman (Professor of Physics) and several Physics graduate students installed the telescope for the most amazing viewing of the event. They also spent over 3 hours answering many astronomy and physics questions. There were many ways to enjoy the event: telescope, eclipse glasses, pin-hole projections, and little crescent shadows cast on your friends and walkways. Food and goodies were provided by Sodexo, Hungry Howie's, Sophi P. Cakes, Meche's Donuts, and many others.  If you missed the party or want to see a few feel-good moments again, here are a few moments we caught on camera.
