The first Sciences Interdisciplinary Monthly Meeting of the Spring 2016 semester was held on Tuesday, 16 February 2016.  Professor Carl Richter of the school of geosciences presented highlights and pictures from several IODP expeditions and illustrated how magnetic data are beginning to answer basic questions about geomagnetic field behavior.
