Science Olympiad
For the past 32 years, Science Olympiad has led a revolution in science education. What began as a grassroots assembly of science teachers is now one of the premier science competitions in the nation, providing rigorous, standards-based challenges to more than 7,300 teams in 50 states. Science Olympiad's ever-changing line-up of events in all STEM disciplines exposes students to practicing scientists and career choices, and energizes classroom teachers with a dynamic content experience.
This competition is an excellent way to excite students about their potential educational and career choices with challenging yet fun experiences in an ever-changing lineup of events.
We have hosted Science Olympiad's Louisiana Region 2 competition annually for the past 27 years here on the UL Lafayette campus. We are very proud of our history, and are eager to continue this tradition into the future. This is a wonderful way to meet new potential UL Lafayette students and introduce them to our university as a whole as well as our individual colleges and departments.
