Master of Science degree in Environmental Resource Science

A new interdisciplinary Master of Science degree in Environmental Resource Science was started in Fall 2017 in the School of Geosciences. The purpose of the program is to increase the availability of highly-trained graduates who can address challenges related to Louisiana's environmental resources. This master's degree program focuses primarily on water and soil resources, including investigation/characterization, management, remediation, and associated technologies. Students will also be able to investigate the relationships of these physical resources to biological processes. Environmental science jobs are expected to grow by 11% nationally from 2014 to 2024, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
