About Us

The Ray P. Authement College of Sciences at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette is dedicated to the advancement of scientific knowledge through research and the extension of the scientific heritage through teaching. The College offers eight Bachelor of Science degrees (biology, chemistry, computer science, environmental science, geology, informatics, mathematics, and physics), five Master of Science degrees (biology, computer science, geology, mathematics, and physics), and three Doctor of Philosophy degrees (biology, computer science, and mathematics). There are 1,804 undergraduate students and 300 graduate students presently enrolled in the College.
