College's Outstanding Graduate is also University's Outstanding Graduate

Ray P. Authement College of Sciences Newsletter for 2017

Peace Eze, a geology major with a concentration in petroleum geology and a minor in mathematics, was honored as the outstanding graduate for both the College and the University at the Fall 2017 commencement. Apart from possessing a distinctive academic record, she has served in several roles of leadership and service. She has conducted research with faculty members in Geology on paleoclimate studies, and also collaborated with faculty members from Stanford University on a research project entitled Seismic Characterization of the Terrebone Mini Basin: A hydrate rich depositional system in the Gulf of Mexico. Peace is the Vice President of the UL Lafayette National Society of Black Engineers, and plans to pursue a Master of Science degree in geology at UL Lafayette.
