The Ray P. Authement College of Sciences awarded 98 bachelor of science degrees and 35 master of science degrees during the Fall 2016 College of Sciences commencement ceremony on Friday, 16 December 2016. Earlier in the day, at the Commencement General Assembly, 11 college of sciences students received doctor of philosophy degrees.

Seven college of sciences students received special recognition at the college assembly.

Juliane G. Mahoney, a biology major with a 3.92 GPA, was honored as the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Alumni Association's Outstanding Graduate for the Ray P. Authement College of Sciences.

Jade Bujard was honored as the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Alumni Association's Outstanding Master's Graduate for the School of Geosciences. Bujard's thesis explored potential petroleum prospects off the coast of New Zealand.

Austin Hansen received the David R. Andrew Outstanding Scholar Award.

Kross Theriot received the Sigred Lanoux Service Award.

Dane Lantier received the Duane Blumberg Spirit Award.

Kyle Hebert received the Bradd Clark Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Research.

Kevin Pitre received the Phi Beta Kappa/Richard Neiheisel award (Master's level).
